Position: President
Location: Calgary
Time Scale: Starts Dec. 2011, full time
Description: The ideal candidate will be a mature, godly leader with strong interpersonal skills and an effective team builder with gifts and experience in an international ministry setting, particularly in administration and preferably within the Wycliffe family of organizations. Although candidates of any nationality will be considered, preference will be given to Canadian citizens.
The president will be responsible and accountable to the WBTC board to ensure that the organization is progressing in the attainment of its vision and mission, within the context of its core values. The successful applicant should have a graduate degree, excellent oral and written communication skills and expertise in communication technologies.
Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada (WBTC) has committed itself to play a key role in Vision 2025, the worldwide drive to start a translation project in all remaining languages that need God's Word by the year 2025. This demands ongoing growth in resources, effective partnerships with Canadian churches and recruitment of new members, while building awareness, calling for fervent prayer and the raising of financial support.
WBTC is a faith-based mission, where all members, including the president, are required to raise their own financial support. Appointment will be for an initial three-year term, which may be extended.

Position: Executive Liaison

Description: The executive liaison provides administrative and secretarial assistance to the President, including:
- active participation in strategic planning;

Position: Vice President of Personnel

Description: Reporting to the Senior VP for Operations, the VP of Personnel is charged with empowering Wycliffe Canada personnel by guiding and effectively communicating to engage them in meaningful assignments. Furthermore, the successful candidate will ensure the effective operation of the department by:
- ensuring that effective member care is provided for Wycliffe Canada members and families around the world;
- ensuring that Wycliffe Canada's personnel policies are consistent with Canadian law;

Description: The VP of Communications is responsible for the effective operation of the communications department, which produces/provides media materials and services to various Wycliffe Canada departments, staff, media outlets, and, as able, partner organizations. Position: Manager of Information Technology

Description: The executive secretary is responsible for the daily management of an administrator's office. You will be responsible to:
- manage incoming mail, phone calls and appointment requests, prioritizing them as needed;

Position: Receipts Dept. Assistant Manager

Position: Senior Member Care Co-ordinator/Retirement Consultant

Description: Since its incorporation in 1968, Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada (WBTC) has seen hundreds of Canadian staff and volunteers participate in the worldwide Bible translation movement. But many of those dedicated workers are now retired or nearing retirement. Wycliffe Canada is looking for someone who can assist these retirees to appropriately prepare for life after full time ministry. Reporting to the National Personnel Manager, you would work with senior WBTC members to provide advice on pensions, RRSPs, the Retirement Assistance Fund and other related retirement matters. Your role would include liaising with members and their churches, to assist pastors or mission committees in ministering to senior WBTC members and respond to queries regarding Wycliffe's policies on retirement-related issues.

Position: Foreign Worker Co-ordinator

Description: Wycliffe Canada frequently benefits from international Wycliffe members, interns and volunteers who serve in Canada or overseas, under Wycliffe Canada's authority, for varying periods of time. We need someone with good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills to interact with key officials in embassies and consulates, to enable the efficient processing of travel visas and other documents. You will assist applicants to complete the necessary forms, submit visa applications and collect the visas when they are granted. In addition, you will be responsible to answer phone and written inquiries related to visa processing; maintain detailed records of correspondence and advise members about permanent residence and citizen requirements. Position: Database Manager

Description: Do you find satisfaction in organizing important information and keeping it up-to-date? If so, you may be the person we're looking for to manage donor and subscriber databases as well as information posted on our intranet. - regularly verifying address accuracy, using the provided software application;

Position: Specified-term Ministry Co-ordinator

Description: Reporting to the vice presidents of Personnel and Public Relations, you will co-ordinate all specified-term ministries offered by Wycliffe Canada (internships, apprenticeships and specific work projects), to ensure that recruitment, processing of applications and eventual assignments are carried out efficiently and effectively.
