Position: President/CEO

Description: The ideal candidate will be a mature, godly leader with strong interpersonal skills and an effective team builder with gifts and experience in an international ministry setting, particularly in administration and preferably within the Wycliffe family of organizations. Although candidates of any nationality will be considered, preference will be given to Canadian citizens.
The president will be responsible and accountable to the WBTC board to ensure that the organization is progressing in the attainment of its vision and mission, within the context of its core values. The successful applicant should have a graduate degree, excellent oral and written communication skills and expertise in communication technologies.
Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada (WBTC) has committed itself to play a key role in Vision 2025, the worldwide drive to start a translation project in all remaining languages that need God's Word by the year 2025. This demands ongoing growth in resources, effective partnerships with Canadian churches and recruitment of new members, while building awareness, calling for fervent prayer and the raising of financial support.
WBTC is a faith-based mission, where all members, including the president, are required to raise their own financial support. Appointment will be for an initial three-year term, which may be extended.

Description: Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you would be responsible for the effective operation of the Information Technology (IT) section of Wycliffe Canada. Position: Bibleless People Prayer Project Liaison
Location: Calgary
Time Scale: Starts now, part time
Description: Do you want a job where you know you will make a significant impact for all eternity? Did you know there are millions of people, in more than 2,200 language groups worldwide, who are still waiting for the Bible to be translated into their mother tongues? We are looking for someone to facilitate the work of Bible translation by supporting the prayer ministry of the Bibleless People Prayer Project (BPPP). The BPPP enlists Christians to pray on a regular basis for Bible translation work that needs to be done among these groups. Reporting to the Prayer Ministries Co-ordinator, the ideal candidate will be able to manage the flow of prayer information, using database management skills to interact with individuals who want to pray for Bibleless people groups. This will also include connecting with staff from our Public Relations team who recruit those pray-ers from across Canada.

Position: Foreign Worker Co-ordinator

Description: Wycliffe Canada frequently benefits from international Wycliffe members, interns and volunteers who serve in Canada or overseas, under Wycliffe Canada's authority, for varying periods of time. We need someone with good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills to interact with key officials in embassies and consulates, to enable the efficient processing of travel visas and other documents. You will assist applicants to complete the necessary forms, submit visa applications and collect the visas when they are granted. In addition, you will be responsible to answer phone and written inquiries related to visa processing; maintain detailed records of correspondence and advise members about permanent residence and citizen requirements. Position: Database Manager

Description: Do you find satisfaction in organizing important information and keeping it up-to-date? If so, you may be the person we're looking for to manage donor and subscriber databases as well as information posted on our intranet.
