Imagine opening your Bible to meditate on God’s Word, only to find a blank page. In fact the entire book is empty. Not a page. Not a paragraph. Not even a single word. A life-verse to guide you through the complexities of life? Impossible. A church planted? Unfeasible. Simply put, no way of knowing or worshiping the living God. This is the plight of about 200 million men, women and children, speaking almost 2,400 distinct languages and scattered in some of the most isolated places on the face of the planet. BUT—this is changing rapidly! Wycliffe Bible Translators, together with nearly 80 partner organizations, is working around the clock to ensure every person on this planet has the opportunity to hear and read the Good News of Jesus Christ in their own heart language – in THIS generation! Each year, as Bible translations are completed, millions more receive access to God’s Word in their own mother tongue. Jesus’ call to his Church is clear. We have been commissioned as agents of God’s grace to go to all nations – all distinct ethnic groups. We are destined to carry and administer His undeserved favour to a world in desperate need for hope in Jesus. How will you respond? History shows that on average, only two out of 100 students hearing and responding to God’s "call" to the nations ever make it to a long-term, cross-cultural missions assignment. What about you? Will you settle for "status quo," or will you bust out of the box and blaze a new path of godly adventure for generations to follow? So many opportunities! Check out how you can get involved today!
