Project Supported: The Andes Challenge!Teams commit to raise a minimum of $2,000/team ($500/racer). Funds raised are for the East Apurimac Quechua translation. High in the Andes Mountains of southern Peru live 200,000 East ApurĂmac Quechua people, isolated from their countrymen. Though there are many Spanish-speaking churches and Spanish Bibles, the East Apurimac Quechua do not benefit from them. Few Quechua speak Spanish well; plus they lack an important tool to break the language barriers—literacy.
