Originally from California, Dave and Deb Crough have been members of Wycliffe since 1984. They are both dual citizens of the United States and Canada and both are members of Wycliffe USA, while Dave is also a member of Wycliffe Canada. Their background, education and work experience is in various forms of media production, including writing, editing, photography and film production.
*They were assigned to Int'l Media Services at the Wycliffe centre in Dallas, moving there in 1986 after a period of partnership development. Their son, Jordan, was born there in Sept., 1986. Their main projects involved producing a series of ethnographic documentaries which took them to Ecuador and Papua New Guinea (PNG). They were also part of the production staff for the Wycliffe coffee-table book, The Alphabet Makers.
* In 1989, they accepted a "reverse furlough" assignment for a year, moving to PNG and serving in the Media Services department. Their daughter, Meredith, was born there in Sept., 1990. Besides producing several PR/recruitment videos, they enjoyed working with and training Papua New Guinean media staff colleagues.
* Returning to Dallas, they were part of the production team for another Wycliffe coffee-table book, Any Given Day.
* In 1993, they accepted an assignment to Cameroon in Africa for 2 years after several months of French language study in Paris. They again produced several PR/recruitment videos along with writing articles and supplying photos for various Wycliffe organizations around the world.
* In Nov.1995, they moved to Calgary, assigned to the main office of Wycliffe Canada. Dave started his assignment as manager of Video Production, and then Photo Services, with Deb serving as a staff writer for Word Alive magazine. Dave became Director of the Communications Dept. and a part of Wycliffe Canada's leadership team in 2005. In 2007 they co-authored Wycliffe Canada's first coffee-table book, Eye to Eye, Heart to Heart.
* In 2010, Dave was appointed Senior Vice President for Public Engagement and served in that capacity for 2 years.
* Deb has taken early retirement from Wycliffe Canada, though she still works on writing projects, while Dave has a split assignment, working as Organizational Liaison. For Wycliffe Canada, he serves in this capacity as part of the President's office team, and does so for Wycliffe Global Alliance as part of their global leadership team.
