Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), a non-profit organization headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has joined the Wycliffe Global Alliance. On Jan. 8, FCBH leaders signed a membership covenant at a meeting with Alliance leaders from the Americas, thereby joining more than 100 organizations serving in Bible translation movements and language communities worldwide.

The vision of FCBH is to partner with like-minded ministries to record Scripture in every language of the world that needs it by the year 2033, and to make these recordings freely available by every means possible. As translation organizations partner to make Scripture available in every language that needs it by 2033, FCBH will make Audio Bible recordings available in each of these languages within the same time frame.

Faith Comes By Hearing supports Bible translation work through software development and training for oral Bible translation. FCBH also facilitates visual access to Scripture in minority languages of the world through Gospel Films. FCBH currently provides Scripture recordings in over 1,200 languages spoken by over 6.1 billion people.

Recognizing that an estimated 70% of the world’s population live in oral communities or cannot read, Faith Comes By Hearing is coming alongside partner ministries, agencies, and organizations by producing Audio Bibles for the hundreds of millions of people for whom audio is the best format.
