Privacy & Protection of Personal Information

Wycliffe Canada is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with privacy laws and fair information principles:

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We collect personal information such as contact information, credit card or bank information to process donations, giving preferences, communication preferences, and areas of interest in potential service with Wycliffe Canada. We normally collect personal information directly from you. We may collect your information from other persons with your consent or as authorized by law. We use personal information for purposes such as processing donations, providing you with relevant communications materials, fundraising, and responding to inquiries. Wycliffe Canada will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than to our service providers (see below).

Service Providers

We may use third parties to provide services such as processing credit card donations or communications. We will only share personal information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. Some of these service providers may be located in or store your personal information outside Canada.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. We use physical measures, technological tools, and organizational controls as security safeguards to provide necessary protection. Only staff who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, processing donations) are granted access to personally identifiable information. When you submit sensitive information via this website (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page.
