Naaman and Lorae grew up near Estevan, Sask. where they married in 2008. Lorae completed a B.Sc. in Nursing in 2008 and Naaman completed a B.A. with a double major in linguistics and anthropology from the University of Regina in 2015. They joined Wycliffe Bible Translators in January 2017.

The Brignalls have been inspired by God’s passion for language, as explained in Acts 2: 8,9: “And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born . . .  we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.”

Naaman and Lorae are excited to be joining the Solomon Islands Translation Advisory Group, to begin working with a language group who do not have the Bible in their heart language. The idea of worshiping God in eternity, with people from every language group, is a great motivator!

“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb (Revelation 7:9).
