Nora grew up in Whitehorse, Yukon, and joined Wycliffe in 2017. She is a graduate of the Canada Institute of Linguistics, Wycliffe Canada’s training partner, and has undergraduate degrees in English literature and library sciences. She loves books and languages.

Nora is preparing to join the Mara Cluster project in northern Tanzania as a lexicographer (dictionary compiler) in mid-2019. Having finally obtained her Tanzanian work visa (praise God!), she is excited to help minority language communities acquire a written word-by-word description of their language, and anticipates the positive impact that the dictionaries will have on their communities’ Bible translation projects. She plans to start off her lexicography work with the Ikoma people of the Mara region.

Nora also continues to develop her network of prayer and financial partners, who are a tremendous blessing and encouragement to her.
