Daniel's Profile

My wife Lisa and I started language study in Indonesia in 2017 with the goal of serving in the area of Aviation maintenance. We have two awesome kids and a toddler. We joined Wycliffe in 2014 and have been doing training and partnership development until now.

In Indonesia we use aircraft to reach remote locations (usually inaccessible by road) and help transport people, goods, and even pigs to serve the local communities. Many of those who use the aircraft for transportation are people working in Bible translation projects or local teaching/preaching, and that is the main reason why we are there.

If you smell gas, run!

March 28, 2017

I always thought action movie shots with big explosions were super cool. Especially when the hero, like Rambo, just walks right out of the fireball unscathed. However I found out that I am not Rambo, ...

Tears of Joy for winter...

December 07, 2016

"You must be excited to leave Winterpeg's miserable weather far behind??!!"  It's surprising how often people tell me how lucky I am to be leaving Winnipeg behind and heading to Indonesia. Usually the...
