At Home - Global Impact

Communications/media, Finance, Information technology (IT), Mobilization/recruitment, Personnel
Funding Need:

Ending Bible poverty around the globe requires support services on the home front. About 100 dedicated staff in Canada do their part to further the work among Bibleless people groups worldwide.

Those who work here at home—from British Columbia to the Maritimes—are not on the so-called “front lines” of ministry abroad. They don’t serve in exotic contexts. But ask field personnel and they will tell you that their work cannot happen without the dedication of the workers on the home front. You can’t have one without the other. Field and home-assigned staff are all missionaries.

 The Challenge

In the words of one unreached woman speaking to a Wycliffe member in the Ndop plains of Cameroon, “Sister,  have you  known these things all along? Why didn’t you teach us long ago?”

You can help. Your gifts will enable the At Home-Global Impact  project to:

Recruit, equip, send and support staff overseas and here in Canada.

You can help ensure that translation of Scripture is underway in every language that needs it by the year 2025.

Team effort

“We all have a part to play, and God can put our meagre resources together to create real impact. Wycliffe is not simply a group of translators. We’re a team of administrators, receipt clerks, teachers, photographers and church-goers, participating in God’s mission to transform and restore our world. We’re a Canadian movement that dares to dream that we can fuel a global Bible translation movement.” -  Roy Eyre, president of Wycliffe Canada
