Ending Bible poverty by facilitating the translation of God's Word among minority language communities worldwide.

Prayer Alive has changed! The quarterly print publication served us well for several decades, but in 2017 we switched to a weekly email format. Now you can receive Prayer Alive in your email inbox every week. The goal is the same: to inspire and inform your prayers for ministry among language communities around the world. We trust that the more frequent, shorter and timely reminders to pray will be a blessing and encouragement to you.

Prayer Alive weekly will rotate through the following themes.

Week One: Inspiration for prayer. This will be a short Scripture meditation and a story of how translated Scripture has impacted lives in a language community somewhere around the world.

Week Two:  Projects update from one of the field projects supported by Wycliffe Canada. Field partners and projects staff share insights, opportunities and challenges for prayer.

Week Three: Resources to guide you and provide practical help in your prayers. These resources are prepared and shared by one of Wycliffe Canada’s Prayer Ministries team members, Valerie Salkeld. We’re grateful for Valerie’s ministry among us.

Week Four: Wycliffe staff, serving in many capacities around the world. This theme will focus your prayers on individual staff members and families, and those among whom they serve.
