This Thanksgiving, share the gift of Scripture.
Every language brings something unique to our understanding of God and His Word.
A Thanksgiving meal is made richer by every dish brought to the table. In the same way, every language and culture offers a unique perspective that deepens our understanding of God and His Word.
As more people encounter Scripture in their heart language, they introduce the global Church to perspectives of God we might never have explored! Millions are still waiting for that opportunity.
This Thanksgiving, your gift will welcome more people to God’s table and enrich the whole body of Christ through the gifts they bring.
The Hdi Word for Love
CAMEROON.
While translating the New Testament into Hdi, translator Lee discovered something remarkable. The Hdi language had several words for love—but only one, ɗvu, described a love that remained steadfast regardless of the other person’s response. It was the perfect word to express God’s unconditional love.
“It would mean that God kept loving us over and over, millennia after millennia, while all that time we rejected His great love,” reflected one Hdi elder.
This Thanksgiving, your gift will help more people discover the depth of God’s love through Scripture in their own language.
