MEISNER, Janine

South Pacific

Janine grew up in the Philippines as a daughter of missionary teachers, Paul and Alice Meisner. She returned to Manitoba with her family for her final two years of high school and university. There she gained three years of teaching experience at a school in Winnipeg before joining Wycliffe Bible Translators. Janine’s experiences as a third culture kid (TCK) led her to move back to the Philippines in 2001. She has had various roles at an international Christian school in Davao City over the years, including teaching students in elementary (grades 3 & 5) and middle school (grades 6-8). The school was founded to serve missionary families who served both in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, but since its inception has come to include students from the international business community. She has enjoyed being a part of the leadership team as the middle school lead teacher. In addition, Janine has participated as a member of the crisis management team and the child safety team. Currently she is living in Canada as she awaits to return to the Philippines.
