Aileen, originally from Vancouver, B.C., joined Wycliffe in 2003. After training as a vernacular media specialist at JAARS, Wycliffe’s technical partner, she and her husband Tim moved with their young family to Indonesia in 2006. Aileen facilitated training national missionaries in vernacular media and assisted in translating materials from English into the national language for the vernacular media course.
Since 2010, she’s been serving in the finance department at the Wycliffe Canada head office in Calgary. Aileen, who has a double major in accounting and finance from San Francisco State University, loves her work. It’s a great fit for her strengths of being analytical and detail-oriented.
In her important role in accounting, Aileen provides support to field workers, enabling them to do their jobs more effectively. In this way, she helps make it possible for minority language speakers around the world to have the Bible in their heart language!
So My Word which goes from My mouth will not return to Me empty. It will do what I want it to do, and will carry out my plan well. (Isaiah 55:11 NLV)
