BAL, Marcel

Marcel recently joined Wycliffe Canada, and is excited to be preparing to serve as a linguistics and translation facilitator in Peru, where he has previously completed two internships through Wycliffe. Marcel’s passion for Bible translation was cemented as he observed a local pastor using the recently translated Scriptures in a church service. He will join a team of national translators, providing explanations of the original Hebrew Old Testament texts and helping them to translate into a local language style so it is easy to understand. This ministry experience will provide a foundation for Marcel so he can become a translation consultant in the future, able to assist translators in other languages as well.
